From io9:
~The Fellowship of the Ring Is Still Ready to Take on a Cave Troll
These days, the world feels more like Mordor than the Shire. Thankfully, a few hobbits are still around to bring us some hope. Monday night, Dominic Monaghan posted a few photos on his Instagram. You may know Monaghan as Charlie from Lost, but he was also Merry in Lord of the Rings. He was hanging out with Billy Boyd (Pippen), Elijah Wood (Frodo), Orlando Bloom (Legolas), and current Oscar nominee Viggo Mortensen (Aragorn), and decided to document it. [More]

~One Week Left in the Taboo Challenge!
This is a friendly reminder that there is one week left in the Taboo challenge! Choose one, multiple, a row, or an entire card of prompts from our Taboo bingo card. Taboo challenge stories are due on the SWG archive no later than February 10, 2017, in order to be eligible to receive a stamp for that month. That's one week away! [More]

Not the first time I've heard that suggested, mind...But, I've never heard any suggestion that the time Anglachel spoke with human (or Elvish) voice to Túrin was an hallucination or a story exaggeration, even though Túrin was crazed with grief and exhaustion at the time. From Ask About Middle-earth:
    ~Frodo and "Smeagol"
When Sam and Frodo capture Gollum in the Emyn Muil, and Frodo sees Gollum for the first time, there's this pretty great moment where he flashes back to Gandalf's speech about the pity of Bilbo. [More]
